Hattiers Drumbeat
An exclusive Hattiers cocktail recipe
While we love the classic rum cocktails as much as anyone, sometimes you need to march to the beat of your own drum.
In 2018, we teamed up with legendary rum expert and award-winning bartender Georgi Radev in the hope of creating a premium rum cocktail worth of our rich aged premium rum. As expected, Georgi did not disappoint.
Now the creative director behind one of London's best cocktail bars, Laki Kane, Georgi has traveled the world learning about rum, tiki life and cocktail making and even created his own cocktail festival, the aptly named Spirit of Tiki in London.
Suffice to say, Georgi knows a thing or two about special rum and was only too happy to create an exquisite new cocktail worthy of the Hattiers label. Be warned, whilst a little more complicated to make, the result is a show-stopping cocktail that will seriously impress.
The Drumbeat incorporates home-made Don's Mix, lemon juice and of course Hattiers Premium Rum. Garnished with a lemon twist and served with sweet Manchego Cheese that's drizzled in truffle infused honey; this is a statement cocktail with a double measure of 'wow'.
Don's Mix, named after it's creator and tiki legend Don Beach, is a delicious tiki mixer comprising of grapefruit and cinnamon. It's easy to make and has a range of uses in traditional rum cocktails.
